This piece of stone doesn't look like much at first, but in the hands of a skilled craftsman, it's about to become a fully functional tea table. The process starts by selecting a dense natural stone with the right hardness and grain pattern. Workers use chisels, impact tools, and cutting discs to remove large sections and create the basic shape. Once the form is established, they carve precise cavities for the kettle and teaware. Using progressively finer abrasives, they smooth the surface while preserving the stone's natural character. Every curve, edge and recess has to be refined by hand. Hours later, the rough stone has transformed into a modern Gong Fu tea table. It can hold tea wear, manage excess water and even incorporate heating elements for boiling water. What began as a heavy rock ends up as something designed for one purpose, slowing down and making tea.
