Fire and Ice rotoscoping process

In the 1983 film 'Fire and Ice,' director Ralph Bakshi and artist Frank Frazetta shot the entire movie in live-action before animating it. The animators used rotoscoping to trace the actors' performances frame by frame on minimalist sets that were specifically designed for this process.
