In his upcoming memoir, John Bolton claims that President Trump surprised Kim Jong-un,and everyone else,by offering the North Korean leader a ride back to Pyongyang on Air Force One. The offer was especially unexpected considering Kim Jong-un's well-known aversion to flying.

The other aspects of the North Korean nuclear weapons program were handled. That he and Kim had a great relationship, I mean, to the point where Trump offered to give Kim a ride back to Pyongyang in Air Force One, which sort of shocked everybody, particularly Kim, because he didn't like airplanes, particularly not airplanes that he controlled. So that was, fortunately, not much of substance came out of that meeting.
