Grok has fallen behind competitors like Claude, the market share of which has been propelled by AI coding tools. Back in April, the two announced a partnership to work together on, quote, coding and knowledge work AI. SpaceX made its trading debut last week with a record-breaking IPO that raised more than $85 billion, made Musk the world's first trillionaire, and boosted the company's market cap to $2.5 trillion. Earlier this month, Cursor hit $4 billion in annualized revenue. According to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing, Cursor's parent company, AnySphere, Inc. will entirely be owned by SpaceX and the merger is expected to close by the third quarter of 2026.
