Las Vegas F1 escalator hack
vegas said no f1 watching without a ticket but escalator rides are free game 😭
Transcript (en)
Professional escalator riders have taken over Las Vegas in an effort to get a glimpse of the Formula One race. Thanks to a brand new ordinance, it is illegal to stop and watch the race unless you have a ticket, of course, and all pedestrian views are blocked except for a few escalators. This one outside Fashion Show Mall at Spring Mountain and Las Vegas Boulevard is actually closer to the track than any of the seats, and it's on the best turn of the entire track. There's security at the top and the bottom, and they will write you a ticket, which leads to a fine if you are caught loitering. But as long as you're moving, they can't stop you. So last night, hundreds of people rode the escalators over and over again, just so they could film pieces of the race. Tonight is the Grand Prix, and I imagine it will be thousands of people trying to catch a ride on these escalators. And while I don't think it's a great plan for watching the race, if you don't have a ticket and you wanna get a picture of the cars up close, this may be your best bet. Share any other great spots you know in the comments. I'll put more details there. Make sure to follow me for All the Vegas.
