Mando on consensus crypto trades and HYPE

    by Tufail: Crypto

Mando breaks down why consensus crypto trades still have room to run, despite many thinking they've peaked. He points out that when HYPE surged from $45 to $75, it felt like crypto Twitter didn't own it because everyone assumed it was too obvious a trade. In reality, the buying came from TradFi, not the usual crowd. His take: we're still deep in the bear market, and the real money hasn't rotated in yet.

there is a sense of like there are consensus trades in crypto which is like hype let's say hype was a month ago and and and now i'm starting to see like maybe nia's getting there and bbv's been getting there for for a bit but like and we think that they're the consensus trades but like if they attract outside capital there's no one left here it's just us and i don't know how many people are listening to listen to the show but like it's we're we're in the depths of a bear here So like if you can attract outside capital, that's why when hype went from 45 to 75 basically, it suddenly felt like CT didn't own it because they all thought it was a consensus trade. And actually money came in and just went boof and it was all TradFi.
