Here in the Gulf, we were expecting significant military action against Iran, but in a major reversal, President Trump said that these strikes would be canceled and that the U.S. and Iran had reached a memorandum of understanding, which could be signed in the coming days. Now, there is no specific deal that's been outlined. Iran's foreign ministry says Iran has not yet reached a final decision on an agreement and that any matters relating to a deal are speculation. Although tonight, the Iranians are acknowledging that large parts of an agreement have been finalized and that Qatar and Pakistan are actively working as negotiators. This comes after Iran angered many of its neighbors in the Gulf this week after launching strikes against them in retaliation to American military action. Last night, Iran reportedly fired missiles at a U.S. air base in Jordan and struck targets in Bahrain and Kuwait. You can see video here from Iranian state TV said to show missiles being launched, though we cannot verify the footage. The United Arab Emirates, which wasn't hitting last night's strikes, strongly condemned what it called renewed Iranian aggressive attacks. ISRAELI PRIME MINISTER BENJAMIN NETANYAHU SPOKE TO PRESIDENT TRUMP ABOUT THE DEAL AND ACCORDING TO HIS OFFICE, EXPRESSED APPRECIATION THAT A FINAL AGREEMENT WILL ADDRESS IRAN'S NUCLEAR PROGRAM AMONG OTHER ISSUES. PRESIDENT TRUMP SAYS THAT THE NAVAL BLOCKADE OF IRAN WILL REMAIN IN PLACE UNTIL THE DEAL HAS BEEN SIGNED.
