Shaquille O'Neal agrees with ex-wife
Shaquille O'Neal opened up about agreeing with his ex-wife when she told him she never loved him. He said, "She didn't think she ever really loved me and my response was I wouldn't have loved me either." Shaq explained that as a man, he felt he was failing in his three primary roles with a woman: to protect, provide, and love. He admitted, "At that point in my life, I failed her in all three areas." He called himself an asshole and an idiot, saying she was 1000% correct. He acknowledged that he failed her as a husband, a protector, and a provider. Despite their divorce, he noted, "She's not my wife anymore but she gave me five beautiful children. I'll always protect her.

There was something that went very viral with your ex-wife, and she had said something along the lines of she didn't think that she ever really loved you. And my response was, I wouldn't have loved me either. Yeah. It just showed me that a man, I was failing. A man has three jobs with a woman. Protect, provide, and love. And at that point in my life, I failed her in all three areas. Really? So I understood it. It's not a, you know, people, ooh, da, da, da, da, da, I understood it. I was an asshole. I was an idiot. So it just made me feel like as a man, you didn't do the right thing. And the circumstance was I lost mostly everything. And you have to learn from that. So I am the type that when I hear criticism or hear anything, before I emotionally react, you have to see if there's some truth in it. I wouldn't have loved him either. So I understood it. Like a lot of people try to, ooh, eat it up. She was a thousand percent correct. I failed her as a husband as a protector as a provider And you know when you do dumb dumb things happen So I wasn upset I don get upset because I a realist Like I not sensitive you can hurt my feelings but when things come out, I'm able to stop time and be like, not, right, rather than, because see, what they want, whoever they is, they want a black man fighting a beautiful black woman, going back and forth.
