Dallol is an otherworldly place in Ethiopia's Danakil Depression. It ranks among the hottest places on Earth, with temperatures around 35 to 41 degrees Celsius all year round. The area features bright green and yellow acidic pools that have a pH close to zero, making it extremely harsh for life. The video gives a sense of just how alien the landscape feels.
