Judge Eleanor Ross impeachment
Representative Clay Fuller, a Republican from Georgia, has formally introduced articles of impeachment against Democrat Judge Eleanor Ross. He alleges that she has committed high crimes and misdemeanors. Many agree that such actions are necessary to address serious misconduct on the federal bench. According to the resolution, Judge Ross was involved in an extramarital affair with a high ranking officer in the Atlanta Police Department. The document stresses that the issue went beyond the affair itself, which violates Georgia state code. It claims she conducted this adulterous relationship inside her chambers at a federal courthouse, where her own employees and clerks could hear what was happening. Fuller stated that Judge Ross has no place on the federal bench. He argued that she has demonstrated a lack of ethical conduct and behavior required to serve as a federal judge. That is precisely why he has introduced this article of impeachment.

I will be introducing an article of impeachment against Judge Eleanor Ross, a federal district court judge in the Northern District of Georgia for high crimes and misdemeanors. And I want to say a special thank you to Chairman Jim Jordan and his team for his help and putting this article of impeachment together. So Judge Ross was engaged in an extramarital affair with a high ranking member officer of the Atlanta Police Department. But it wasn't just that she was engaged in an extramarital affair, an adulterous affair, which is illegal under the Georgia state code. But also she was engaged in this extramarital affair in her chambers, in a federal courthouse, within hearing of her own employees and clerks. Judge Ross has no business on being on the federal bench. She has shown that she doesn't have the ethical conduct or behavior to continue serving as a federal judge. And that is why we have offered and introduced this article of impeachment.
