Steve Hilton California governor candidate
by Flint: California
California governor candidate Steve Hilton has announced that one of his first actions in office would be to sign an executive order launching fraud investigations. These probes would target the tens of billions of dollars lost under Gavin Newsom. This will make sure that we investigate and prosecute the billions and billions and billions of dollars of fraud, theft of taxpayer money that has occurred over the last few years, including investigating Gavin Newsom, he explained. The attorney general and other officials would also face scrutiny in the process. If only California woke up, they could get their money back.

I want to show you my first executive order as Governor of California. Here it is. This will be enacted on day one when I'm Governor. This is establishing a California taxpayer fraud strike force. This will make sure that we investigate and prosecute the billions and billions and billions of dollars of fraud, theft of taxpayer money that has occurred over the last few years, including investigating Gavin Newsom, who will be the former governor when this takes effect, Rob Bonta, who will be the former attorney general, because my running mate Michael Gates will beat him, and Malia Cohen, the former state controller, because my running mate Herb Morgan will beat her. We will investigate these officials because they were warned about the fraud and they did nothing about it. And that to me looks like criminal negligence. If there is evidence of that, this executive order makes clear we will have the resources and the commitment to prosecute them and to get the money back.
