Jared McCain said he always liked Kobe since start of his basketball. Kobe was favorite player and he took his mentality. This is his first NBA playoff memory.

The earliest of watching playoff basketball, I think, I want to say 2011, I think when I was at seven, I remember walking into my parents' room and seeing, was that Lakers? Was Lakers in there? Probably. I remember walking in there and seeing my brother and my dad watching it. And I'm kind of lost at that age, I didn't really, I was lost. But I remember watching and seeing Kobe and Kobe's been my favorite player since I started playing basketball. So I always, always gravitated towards him and his mentality. And so I think that was my earliest memory.
