Two things stood out at Bam Rodriguez's media day Wednesday in Phoenix. The first is that he said if he wins his Bantamweight debut June 13th in Glendale, Arizona, he is done as a super flyweight, where he currently ranks as a three-belt champion. And that led to his second comment, which is that a showdown with Naya Inouye, the super Bantamweight champion, undisputed champion, is inevitable. And really, I mean, for Bam Rodriguez, if he looks sensational in this Bantamweight debut, he hinted that he would maybe take one more fight. It would actually be a title fight. And he mentioned the name of Christian Medina. That he would be ready for the showdown with Inouye, probably to take place in 2027. I think this is so exciting for fight fans who have been anticipating the showdown for years. And now it seems so close and so near.
