out of the building. A female detective is on the left side of the screen. She's holding open the door. Police say Rivers, with his hands cuffed behind him, tried to grab the detective's buttocks as he walked by her. According to the arrest report, the officer escorting Rivers in that moment saw it and shoved him against the wall. Police say Rivers laughed at that moment and even said, quote, good catch, but I don't give an expletive. Rivers was already in custody, suspected of a sexual battery against a student at Florida Memorial University last Sunday morning. Now, while in front of a judge a short time ago, state prosecutors detailed the new charges of assault against a police officer. He was trying to grab the female officer's butt. And then another officer stopped him, and he told that other officer, good catch, but I don't give an F. The attacker. In the room. Why'd you do it? Detectives say the victim was waiting at a bus stop in front of the school Sunday morning when a man began whistling at her. She tried to return to campus. That's when investigators say the suspect caught up to her, pinned her against a campus door, and battered her. A DNA warrant was subsequently executed and the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office Crime Laboratory worked throughout the night to process the evidence. At approximately 7 o'clock this morning, the laboratory confirmed a positive DNA match. And just last month he was released from the Florida Department of Corrections on lewd and lascivious behavior charges. And he does have a history of sexual battery. Miami Gardens Police believe there may be several other victims out there.
