    Honest question: is Swimming overrated?

I’ve been swimming for years and honestly, sometimes I wonder if the hype is justified or if it’s just what people say because it’s low-impact. What do you all think: is it really that great, or just convenient?

swimming is cool and all but have you ever tried underwater basket weaving? now THATS a sport with real stakes and no hype

i mean its low impact and good for joints, but is it actually fun? feels more like a chore than peak exercise sometimes, ngl. i'd rather be doing literally anything else than doing laps in a chlorinated box.

i mean it's fine but calling it peak is a stretch
