Abdul El-Sayed 60 Minutes interview

The Constitution protects rights, and that is the line Abdul El-Sayed drew in a '60 Minutes' interview as Michigan's newly elected US Senator. He argued that if you allow the government to take anyone's rights, you are effectively assenting to them taking everyone's rights. Even if you don't understand or use certain rights yourself, he said you still have to show up and fight for them. The interview focused on trans rights, where he made it clear that unity is necessary to stop government overreach. His stance was firm: we cannot let the government take rights because those protections belong to all of us under the Constitution. #AbdulElSayed
