Ramón Vega challenges Infantino for FIFA presidency

Infantino already has his first rival! Swiss former footballer and businessman Ramón Vega officially presented his candidacy to compete for the FIFA presidency in the March 2027 elections, which will be held in Morocco. This is not the first time he has attempted to reach the top position of world football: he did so in 2015 and 2019, although on both occasions he failed to secure the necessary support. He even stated that if elected, his wife would become the "First Lady of FIFA." Who is Ramón Vega? He was a central defender for Grasshopper, where he won three Swiss leagues. He played for Cagliari, Tottenham, and Celtic. He won the English League Cup in 1999 and a national treble with Celtic. He represented Switzerland at Euro 1996. After retiring, he studied finance and administration, founded asset management and alternative investment companies, and began advising clubs and sports institutions. THE FIFA PRESIDENCY NOW HAS A NEW ASPIRANT!
