Leon Slater TNA World Champion WWE partnership

Leon Slater says he wouldn't be TNA World Champion without the time spent in WWE, even though he never signed a deal there. He compares that run to two or three years of work because he used the platform and exposure to pick up lessons he brought back to TNA. The experience in NXT and on the main roster is what makes his current title reign possible. Anyone thinking TNA is just a stepping stone misses the point since it functions as a true partnership. Wrestlers from both sides travel to learn different styles, with TNA talent going over to WWE and NXT people coming to TNA. Slater points out the value of working with veterans like Nic Nemeth, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, and Frankie Kazarian who have been in the game for 20 to 35 years. That kind of history offers invaluable experience for wrestlers of any caliber.
