Lizbeth Sherman $18 million theft

Lizbeth Sherman handled the credit card bills for her boss, and that access turned into $18 million taken across a decade. She pleaded guilty to theft. The money went toward private jets, Rolexes, Louis Vuitton bags and a $2M California home, all funded with his personal information. When the FBI searched her house, agents counted more than 1,500 luxury items still unopened, and a good chunk of what got seized had been listed online by her for fast cash. The sentence she's looking at tops out at 20 years behind bars, and every dollar of the $18 million has to go back.
