Dexter Resurrection Lot 237 Shining Easter Egg

Episode 103 might be pointing at October 3, the day Dexter's mother was killed, and that's the sort of thing that makes me rewatch a scene twice. Same instinct shows up in Al's RV, parked in Lot 237. Slot 237, Room 237 in The Shining, a campsite number that suddenly reads like a warning about what's waiting behind the door. Then Dexter turns up at Al Walker's site and it clicks harder, because Eric Stonestreet plays him as the cheerful family man type while he's secretly out hunting people and keeping their ponytails. Leon Prater's vault is its own trophy room too, holding Arthur Mitchell's hammer alongside Travis Marshall's Doomsday sword. Even the paperwork is loaded: Dexter orders M99 under the alias Dr. Patrick Baitman, a straight nod to American Psycho. Whoever buries these things in Dexter: Resurrection is operating at a level I can only respect. Math is math.
