Finland France nuclear cooperation

France's advanced nuclear deterrence initiative has pulled Finland into a new cooperation layer involving strategic dialogue on French doctrine, joint military exercises, and potential temporary deployments of French strategic air force elements. This arrangement follows the Finnish parliament voting in early 2026 to lift the ban on nuclear weapons for defense flexibility. President Stubb stated that despite this shift, Finland does not intend to permanently station nuclear weapons in Finland during peacetime. Reports on these developments come from Visegrad. #Finland
