Lionel Messi Barcelona growth treatment

Lionel Messi reveals that his development was stalled by a dormant hormone, forcing him into a grueling nightly routine of thigh injections for nearly two years starting when he was just 11 or 12. The pain of those first shots eventually faded into a habit, but the logistics were no joke; he carried a special pen in a small box stored inside a refrigerator, even dragging it along to friends' houses so the treatment never got skipped. His pals knew exactly what was happening and would actually remind him at night to make sure he didn't forget, turning a scary medical necessity into something normal that helped him rather than held him back. It wasn't just about the boy though; Messi notes that parents often suffer way more than the kids going through this, and he remembers his own dad having to work away from home during those difficult years while he had no matches or physical job yet. He points out that many other children face similar treatments, sometimes starting even earlier, and while it sounds shocking, he views it as necessary for the future. Looking back, everything changed over time as his body grew bigger, allowing him to train better and eat better, making today's body care a completely different beast compared to being a kid who was just beginning.
