Kane Hodder Jason Voorhees Friday the 13th

Kane Hodder brought a specific line in the sand for Jason Voorhees across four FRIDAY THE 13TH movies. When director Rob Hedden wanted a scene where the killer kicks a dog, Hodder shut it down immediately. He had already stepped into the role twice by that point and felt he finally held enough influence to challenge the script on character logic. The argument was simple: Jason would slaughter humans but never harm an innocent animal. As Hodder put it, "Jason doesn't harm animals. He wants to get revenge on summer camp workers for letting him drown as a child." The math is clear; the motivation targets people who failed him, not pets.
