Michael Zorc BVB transfers

The numbers don't lie when you look at how Borussia Dortmund bounced back from that massive crisis in 2005 where they actually had to mortgage the stadium just to survive. Michael Zorc stepped in as sporting director that same year and completely flipped the script on the club's fortunes. His whole strategy was built around spotting young talent early and converting them into serious cash cows without any hesitation. Look at the math on Ousmane Dembélé, who came in for €35 M and went out for a staggering €140 M later on. Jadon Sancho followed a similar path, bought for €20.5 M and eventually sold for €85 M to another club. Christian Pulisic is right there with him too, acquired for €20.5 M and later traded away for exactly €85 M. Then you have Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, picked up for just €13 M before being sold for €63.5 M down the line. It is wild to see the sheer market intelligence and privileged vision required to pull off deals like this repeatedly. This is what happens when you have a genius like Michael Zorc running the show for BVB, turning a near-collapse into a modern money-making machine. #OusmaneDembele
