Jamie Vardy Luis Suárez shirt exchange

Jamie Vardy recalls a specific pre-season clash against Barça back in 2016 where the shirt swap dynamic flipped on its head. He knew his teammates would be hunting for jerseys from the star players, so he made a conscious decision to not ask any Barcelona man for their kit beforehand. Then at the end of the first half, Luis Suárez approached him and actually requested Vardy's shirt instead. Vardy agreed immediately because he views it as an honor when the world's best number 9 comes asking you for your jersey. It is a moment that sticks out given how Leicester City faced Inter Miami's Suarez in such a high-profile friendly setting.
