BLACKPINK Okgwan Order of Cultural Merit

South Korea's President puts his name behind this one: JENNIE, ROSÉ, LISA and JISOO are all set to take home the Okgwan (Jade Crown) Order of Cultural Merit at the 2026 Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards. No K-pop group has ever been handed that grade before, and BLACKPINK are the first to land this specific honor outright. It ranks up there with the top state awards the country gives out for pop culture, and the citation points at what the group has done for Korean arts and culture, with the worldwide K-pop wave at the center of it.
