Zeynep Mestan Turgutluspor TURKSPOR

Zeynep Mestan, aged 22, has officially taken the reins as coach of Turgutluspor, a male squad competing in the Manisa Süper Amatör Ligi in Turkey. The club is aiming to reach professional football within three years. After wrapping up her third preseason practice session, Mestan noted that the players treat her with the exact same attitude they would show a male coach. No one belittles her or holds a different perspective toward her. She perceives positive intent in the players' eyes, describing it as seeing light in all their gazes regarding her coaching. "I AM TREATED THE SAME AS A MALE COACH!" she stated. "They work with me in the same way they would with a male coach. No one belittles me or makes me feel like they have a different perspective. I see that light in all their eyes." Respect is earned through work.
