Raphinha Harry Kane Ballon d'Or debate

Raphinha actually liked an Instagram post that flipped the script on Harry Kane's Ballon d'Or win by pointing out how the exact same logic kept Raphinha in fifth place last year. The argument hinges on the fact that while both players got knocked out in the Champions League semi-finals, Raphinha managed to finish as the top scorer and top assist provider in that tournament, yet somehow still didn't get the recognition. There is a specific point made about Raphinha winning the domestic treble and the claim that the level of competition in Spain is genuinely higher than in Germany, which should theoretically matter more for the award. It raises a serious question about consistency: if goals are all that matter, why change the criteria depending on the player? The post suggests they should just say so instead of applying different standards where Kane gets the trophy but Raphinha gets left behind despite having the stats to back it up.
