Cat rescued from discarded couch at landfill

Can you picture it? Your cat slips out of sight, and somewhere a couch you set out for the dump is already on its way to the landfill. That's the setup here: a cat got carried off inside a discarded couch without anyone realising, and stayed tucked in the furniture once it reached the dumping site. What could have gone badly wrong didn't. The cat was found alive before things turned fatal, and that's the whole story, an unexpected rescue pulled out of a mistake nobody meant to make. It's the noticing that does it. Saving a life can start with paying attention to what everyone else walks past, and the relief of getting a missing cat back alive after something like this is hard to imagine until it happens.
