WILDWOOD sequel depends on audience reaction

Whether there's more WILDWOOD after the 2026 film seems to rest on how the audience takes it. Colin Meloy put it plainly: "I think a lot of it depends on how much this one probably resonates with audiences." Travis Knight, who directed, has said he'd be glad to spend more time in that world. The story comes from Meloy's novel, following a girl who goes into a forbidden forest after her baby brother is kidnapped. It's also LAIKA's first feature animation since MISSING LINK in 2019.
