Mateo Messi wins U12 title with Inter Miami

Mateo Messi Roccuzzo is 11 years old and he already has silverware of his own. Inter Miami's Under-12 side took the title, and Leo's middle son put one in the net during the final to help lock it down, doing it with the 10 on his back. Here's the bit that gets me: a month before, he was beside Lionel Messi while Inter Miami celebrated the Campeón de Campeones, a final his dad won and scored in, also wearing the 10. Same number, same outcome, one generation apart. Calling it following in his father's footsteps undersells it a little. Football runs in this family's blood, and the proof keeps stacking up.
