Joe Hendry on a WWE heel turn

The gimmick Joe Hendry built was supposed to draw boos. Crowds went the other way with it, and that's the funny part. On the Michael Fairman Channel he got the heel question for WWE and didn't shut it down: never say never, you just never know, anything can happen in the WWE. So the door stays cracked. A character designed to be hated that people just happened to like is a weird flex, but it works.
