Ilja Dragunov on when he thought about leaving WWE

Ilja Dragunov got asked when leaving WWE first crossed his mind, and the timeline he gives is around April, maybe a month before that. His comeback story is the part he holds onto: after tearing his ACL, he won a championship straight away, an amazing moment he still cherishes. Once he dropped the belt, though, he feels things went in directions that could've been better, with more time spent on a story or something outside of holding a championship. None of it changed his work. He loves what he does and makes every minute count. People have feelings and want to devote themselves to this, he says, but he knows it's part of the business, and he wouldn't change that Quote via
