Every single stay was at a hotel ranked luxury, upscale or upper upscale, according to FEC filings, with roughly another $5,000 spent on limos and chauffeurs. A GOP candidate who fled Cuba with his parents had a name for it: “She’s a champagne communist.” To be fair, the bills covered her whole team, but $24 million of her haul came from donors giving under $200, so plenty of $20 checks are now paying for rooftop bars...
