LA LIGA MX TV rights centralization 2028

The 18 Mexican football clubs have reportedly agreed to stop negotiating individual television contracts after 2028. Instead, they plan to sell broadcast rights for the whole league together to the highest bidder, mirroring how major global competitions handle things. This centralization of TV rights in Liga MX is moving toward implementation in 2028. While this shift represents a historic change in the economic future of the league and could significantly increase revenues, there remains uncertainty about how the money will be distributed among the eighteen clubs.
