Real Madrid Enzo Fernández transfer plan

The mistake Real Madrid reportedly sees is not adding midfield help when they had the chance, and the fix they have in mind is Enzo Fernández. Their interest in him is expected to come back around. What makes it interesting is Manchester City: Madrid is hoping any sanctions against City could be leveraged, since relegation for City would make a deal for Fernández cheaper. That cheaper-deal path is the opportunity Madrid views as significant, with sanctions against City potentially shifting how the transfer market moves.
