Trump hosts Nick Shirley at White House

A $10,000 check for fraud tips came out of a White House visit, with Nick Shirley as the guest of honor. Trump used the occasion to praise the influencer's investigations and to launch a federal program that pays people for reporting suspected fraud. The money followed Shirley's video on Minnesota daycare centers, which spread widely and alleged fraud there. In Trump's account, posted to Truth Social and reported by AP, the target was California: "Nick Shirley went after California for FRAUD. He turned them in, and they went after him instead of the people that committed the FRAUD!" Marie wrote it up. #DonaldTrump
