UK police RAF Fairford investigation

If the trail eventually leads to Tehran, it would not be the biggest surprise given prior context. UK police have rearrested two men regarding an incident near a U.S. air base, specifically RAF Fairford. These two individuals were among seven people arrested in September, and all seven arrestees had been previously released on bail. One of the rearrested men holds British nationality, while the other is British-Iranian. Both men were arrested under the National Security Act based on suspicion of assisting a foreign intelligence service. Police consider Iranian state involvement highly probable, though investigators are determining the specific role Iran may have played. Source: Financial Times / Writer: Daniyal
