SKY-001 is out from Skyfall AI, and the pitch on this CAD design tool is wild: complex objects get split into components, each part gets sketched, then the whole thing comes back together in 3D. Up to 125x faster than what's already out there, per the claims, and reportedly way easier on the wallet too. Took 18 months to build, and the crew behind it came out of Maluuba's deep learning lab, which Microsoft Research picked up. Efficiency going up while cost goes down is supposed to pull demand up with it, and that's the whole bet here
