Hornbill beak prosthetic at ARTIS Amsterdam

Vets at ARTIS Amsterdam fitted a hornbill with a prosthetic beak, and it has both an upper and a lower piece. What that buys the bird is the ability to hunt and eat on its own again, which is basically the difference between surviving and not. Word is this is the first time such a prosthetic has been made for a bird. Sure, just a normal day in veterinary medicine.
