Ken Russell's The Devils 4K 35MM at IFC Center

The NC-17 cut of KenRussell's TheDevils that nobody got to see for 55 years just did $1.6 million in a 3-day weekend at US BoxOffice. That's a $4.7k per-theater average across 350 theaters, for a version that's more gruesome and authentic than what was originally out there. And it's all happening under WB's new specialty label Clockwork, which launched despite the merger. 4k 35MM, uncensored, first time in 55 years. Exactly. That's how you make an entrance 🩷
