Asmongold frames the choice to abort fetuses with Down syndrome as a necessary act of mercy, calling it the right thing despite how many moral viewers will disagree. He identifies as a utilitarian and pragmatic person who sees these children as a lifelong burden requiring constant care that drains society. The situation is described as a tragedy, yet he insists on the decision being practical: "Whenever I see people that have down syndrome or there is something f*cked up about them that will be a constant drain on society." He acknowledges this view diverges from his audience's morals but stands firm in the belief that such lives are only a drain.
