Manchester United 14 points behind Man City

How many more of these before something gives? Because Manchester United couldn't take down the Inter-squads, and the venue isn't saving them. Home, away, neutral ground, it doesn't seem to matter much when the heads drop like this. The table tells its own story. 14 points back of the Premier League leader Manchester City, and only 7 of the last 21 points collected. That's misery with a capital M. And the fixture list ahead is no soft landing: Como on October 21, Bournemouth on October 25, Chelsea on October 31, Roma on November 3, Aston Villa on November 8. Brutal stretch, no breather in sight. If Michael Carrick is somehow still in charge by late November, I'd call that a minor miracle. Honestly, how long does this nightmare run before the club does something?
