    #YouCanSeeEverything historic box office surge

Since we are talking about festival darlings, A24’s documentary YouCanSeeEverything makes HISTORY at US BoxOffice, poised to crush MELANIA with the biggest debut for a doc in over a decade, after grossing INSANE 5.5M on FRI Opening Day including 1.8M THU Previews, wait for it… over just 855 theatres, again HISTORIC for documentaries, let alone an almost 3h-long one. It crushes the past decade’s opening day records for the genre such as Melania (2.9M over 1.778 theatres), TheyShallNotGrowOld (2.3M over 1.142 theatres in 2018), AfterDeath (2.2M over 2.645 theatres in 2023), AmIRacist? (2M over 1.517 theatres in 2024) BornInChina (1.6M over 1.508 theatres in 2017). Incredible $6.5k average per theatre. Again, for a documentary! It shall crush MELANIA’s 7M debut as the biggest opening weekend for documentaries in over a decade, Eyeing a 10M-14M 3-day opening weekend, depending on how frontloaded it is.
