Anmar Al Haili Messi offer details

How wild it is that Messi turned down a deal so big it would break the bank. Anmar Al Haili, the president of Ettihad, revealed the club reached out right after Lionel Messi's contract in Paris ended. They laid out an offer totaling 1.4 billion euros plus 88 million euros annually to get him on board. The player said no because his family preferred moving to America instead. Al Haili called the refusal a total surprise given how massive the financial package was. He noted that while convincing the family might have been possible, Messi refused without any hesitation at all. There was no second-guessing or long negotiation period; the answer was immediate. What stands out is the respect Al Haili showed for prioritizing family over money. It wasn't about the cash, but about what mattered more to the player and his loved ones.
