BTS Burning Up FIRE fire story Namjoon like

A BTS lyric ended up being the thing that warned a whole restaurant about a fire, and Namjoon noticed the story. Back on October 13, 2022, in the Itahwon area, someone visiting from Japan was walking back from dinner when they saw trash on the street starting to burn. They panicked. The Korean they could pull up in that moment was limited, so what came out was 저기요! 불타오르네!! 불타오르네!! (Excuse me! It's burning!! It's burning!!). User necco posted photos of the fire and its aftermath, which is how the account spread. Nihon Terebi reported that the witness's grasp of Korean was weak and that panic wiped out any proper way to alert people to the danger. The words that surfaced were Pulthaoryone, meaning It is blazing or It is burning, and they lined up almost exactly with the lyrics of BTS's Burning Up (FIRE), a song that came out in May 2016. Water arrived in a basin from a staff member, and a customer finished the job with an extinguisher. The people in the restaurant got what was happening and pitched in. Four years on, the story found fresh attention on social media, and Namjoon liked the post about it. Maybe word only just reached him that a line from a BTS track once carried a warning through a language gap during a fire. K-pop and real-life safety communication crossing paths like that is not a combination I expected. #RM
