Mourinho discusses Vini strategy

José Mourinho is explaining the tactical shift he made for Vinicius Junior after the Madrid derby against Atlético Madrid. The manager's plan was to protect Vini and only bring him on when the game specifically needed a player with his unique skills. He believes this change worked out well because the crowd, who had been unhappy at times, started supporting him immediately once he began warming up. Mourinho sees that shift in the stands as a crucial turning point for the player, noting that Vini came off the bench and played very well. While the goal scored and the subsequent red card were unfortunate events, the manager observed that something clicked for him. It seemed like the joy returned, reminding everyone of the kind of player he really is.
