Pope Leo XIV health update

Doctors monitoring Pope Leo XIV have confirmed the postoperative course is following the expected path after the procedure that took place Monday at Rome's Gemelli Hospital. The pontiff underwent surgery to remove a right lower lung lobe because of pulmonary adenocarcinoma, and the Holy See issued an official statement regarding the operation on Tuesday morning. Recent blood tests and chest X-rays conducted this morning indicate normal progress, with clinical values staying exactly within the ranges anticipated for this specific type of surgical intervention. Recovery signs are visible as the pontiff has started walking inside his room and has resumed respiratory physiotherapy exercises alongside returning to a usual diet that includes both breakfast and lunch. A medical bulletin released by the Vatican Press Office details these developments while affirming the favorable trajectory of the recovery process.
