RAYE announces manual ticket review

RAYE is handling the aftermath of a massive sign-up list for an upcoming one-off gig where hundreds of thousands of fake registrations appeared among the 1.8 million total entries. Instead of launching a presale that scalpers could exploit, the strategy involves manually reviewing the entire list to find a shortlist of real fans. Those selected will receive their presale link and code via email so they can actually buy tickets at face value. It is so important to me that fans can buy tickets at the face value price. Therefore rather than risk opening a presale that scalpers could exploit, we felt the best and safest solution for this specific show was to manually review the sign-up list to identify a shortlist of people we believe are real fans. Those selected will received their presale link and code by email.
