Monday, October 12, 2026 brought major shifts in Bijombo-Uvira as a coalition of AFC, M23-MRDP, and Twirwaneho forces reclaimed Rubarati and Ruhuha villages. This move came right after fierce fighting involving FARDC, wazalendo, FDLR, FNDB, and Tanzanian personnel across the region.
